Dr. Nigel Livingston

Nigel Livingston is the Director of the University of Victoria Assistive Technology Team, a multi-disciplinary group dedicated to developing assistive technology and devices for those with disabilities. Members of UVATT include faculty, staff and students and community volunteers. Since its inception, UVATT has taken on over 100 projects with over 900 students participating in the research, development and application of technology and devices. In October 2005 UVATT was the recipient of the inaugural Lieutenant Governor's Technology and Innovation Award from the BC Innovation Council. Dr. Livingston is the father of a child with a disability and is a professor in the department of biology, University of Victoria.
