DHRN Annual Conference & AGM
The DHRN Annual Conference and AGM will take place October 8 & 9, 2009 at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver. The AGM will take place on the afternoon of October 8th followed by a Wine and Cheese Networking event. The evening will finish off with a premiere of our DHRN Video Project and Disability Film Festival featuring Picture This... A full day will follow on October 9, 2021 where we will focus on creating success around evaluation and relationship building. Free to DHRN members and included in your registration are refreshments on Thursday evening, continental breakfast, lunch, door prizes and a conference goody package. CIHR summer institute
In June 2009 CIHR’s Institute of Gender and Health will host its inaugural summer institute for trainees (graduate students and post-doctoral fellows). The summer institute will take place at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC) from June 23-26, 2009. This residential workshop will offer participants an opportunity to increase their understanding of methods for gender, sex and health research, as well as the opportunities and challenges that arise from the application of these methods. The Summer Institute will also give participants the chance to network with colleagues and mentors from across Canada working in the field of gender, sex and health research.Categories: -

CSEP Pre-Olympic Games exercise science and physical activity conference
CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology) 2009 will be the premier pre-Olympic Games exercise science and physical activity conference. Our conference will take place in scenic Vancouver Canada (the host city for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games) 93 days prior to the opening ceremony (November 11-14, 2009). Delegates will be able to experience first hand the atmosphere created by hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
