Bio:

I graduated from Queen's University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and completed an M.Sc. in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at SFU in 2009. I have developed interests and expertise in orthopaedics and neurology. My Masters research project investigated motor control impairments in adult females with persistent neck pain post motor vehicle accident. Surface electromyography was used to measure upper trapezius activation before, during and after a repetitive upper limb task. Subgroups of women with WADII were compared with each other and healthy women. The full thesis is available at http://www.west4thphysio.com/blog/ (posted January 5, 2010). My primary interests are pain, neuromusculskeletal disorders and motor control.
