Dr. Theo van Rijn

Dr. Theo van Rijn is currently the Medical Director, Rehabilitation and Ambulatory Care Services, Vancouver Acute including GF Strong Rehab Centre, where he has served as Medical Director since 2002. Dr. van Rijn is also Chair of the University of British Columbia Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is actively involved in medical education, residency training and research promotion for long term functional outcomes for persons with disabilities. Dr. van Rijn attended the University of Toronto, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Medicine degree and subsequently trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He is a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a member of The British Columbia Medical Association.
